Role: Maintenance Team Leader Salary: £49,000 to £55,000 per annum and benefits Hours: 4 on 4 off, 7 till 7 - rotation of 2 x days & 2 x night shifts Location: Commutable from Howden, Hull, Selby, Goole, Doncaster, Brough, York, Market Weighton and surrounding areas This superb heavy plant manufacturing company are recruiting for a Maintenance Team Leader to join their team of over 35 Engineers. The role is 1 of 4 Team Leaders and will manage a team of 2 Mechanical Fitters and 2 Electrical Engineers. The company try to keep all engineering works inhouse, minimising the need and use of external contractors, so you and the team really do get involved across the full range of reactive, proactive and project work. It would suit either a Mechanical or an Electrical experienced Team Leader, who have experience as a Team Leader, with a background in an industrial or manufacturing environment with ANY/SOME experience of bearings, shafts, belts, chains, motors, gears, pumps, hydraulics, pneumatics, welding (MIG) sensors, PLC, robotics. The role is 60% hands on and 40% dealing with shift reports, carrying out gamba walks, assigning jobs and dealing with staff holidays and administration. Responsibilities Supervise and co-ordinate maintenance activities across the site and off-site quarry Identify and suggest improvements to the manufacturing and quality processes Carry out all planned preventative maintenance as requested Assist with the installation of new plant equipment Promote Lean thinking and actively look for ways to improve efficiencies Carry out factory inspections, giving advice and support to production operatives and other personnel as relevant Monitoring quality from raw material to finished goods Ensure all new starters are efficiently inducted and trained Provide emergency maintenance cover when required Requirements You will be an experienced maintenance engineering supervisor/leader with a minimum level 3 qualification in an Engineering discipline. Experience of working in a manufacturing environment ideally heavy manufacturing (clay, refractory, quarrying, cement) or FMCG Strong leadership skills Excellent communication skills Attention to detail Exposure to health & safety standards Good working knowledge of EHS Strong organisational & planning abilities Passionate about improvement with knowledge of Lean manufacturing Experience and diagnostics experience of hydraulic, pneumatic, drive chain fault finding, bearing fitting / alignment and electrical control systems Knowledge of cutting & grinding regulations Maintenance experience and diagnostics of hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical control system If this role sounds of interest, please apply now and send your most up to date CV to Jane at TechNichols Resourcing to be considered.
