You will be working for a specialist education agency who works exclusively with primary schools across St Helens, supporting them with their short-term and long-term teaching assistant cover. You will be able to select assignments that fit around you, work across EYFS, KS1, and KS2 and gain experience working in different schools. You will also be offered long-term assignments which could leave to permanent opportunities. Our Teaching Assistants provide excellent academic and emotional support for learners with some SEND needs in the mainstream setting. They are also involved in Maths / English / Phonics / Reading intervention sessions and help children make academic and emotional progress.Your new role. As a teaching assistant, your main role will be to provide pupils with support and guidance, ensuring that they are able to access the curriculum fully and truly enjoy their education. You will support the classroom teacher with their delivery of the curriculum, both inside and outside the classroom, whilst also supporting the pupil's well-being. Hours are in line with the school day (08:30 to 15:30) and part-time hours can be discussed for the right candidate. To be successful with your application you will need: You will have experience working with children within the last 3 years. You should feel confident working with children in small groups. You will need to be professional at all times, as well as friendly and enthusiastic. You will need to be able to communicate effectively with staff, children and parents.
