The opportunity:
A fantastic opportunity for a Senior DA Oversight Specialist to join the Delegated Authority Oversight Team (DAOT) with a core focus of the onboarding of new Underwriting Delegated Authorities (DAs) across the UK.
What is DA Oversight?
DAs are where a broker/MGA carries out delegated underwriting activities on behalf of Zurich. DAs are a significant part of Zurich’s portfolio, contributing to around a quarter of all the UK's income; therefore, effective oversight is essential to ensure that all appropriate procedures and controls are in place.
What will you be doing?
You will primarily be responsible for overseeing the onboarding of new DAs which can vary from standard rules-based arrangements to high profile MGA’s that hold a significant value. Your role would be to ensure all correct procedures are followed and appropriate controls are in place. To achieve this, you will be collaborating with a wide range of internal stakeholders such as our Market Facing Units (MFU) Onboarding Teams, Relationship Managers, Underwriting Leads and Technical Pricing teams. You'll help strengthen our partnership with brokers/MGAs by ensuring they meet all regulatory requirements and that we ultimately deliver for our company and customers.
Your key responsibilities would include:
* Working closely with the MFU onboarding teams to successfully onboard new DAs.
* Using your technical knowledge to drive and support improvements to the oversight of DAs.
* Providing expertise and support for all manner of DA related enquiries including regulatory and customer focused initiatives.
* Playing an active role in a wide range of underwriting projects.
* Ensuring timely and accurate recording of information.
* Provide clear management information and analysis that can be shared with various stakeholders, including members of the senior leadership team.
* Identifying any potential detriment to our customers and exploring potential solutions through activities such as Conduct MI.
What are we looking for?
The successful candidate will need to display a positive, enthusiastic, can-do attitude and an inquisitive nature alongside:
* An understanding of DAs or experience working with outsourced third parties would be beneficial.
* A high level of knowledge around the regulatory landscape and how to apply it to DAs.
* The ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders and is proficient at planning, prioritising, and leading meetings.
* Confidence to question and challenge data and existing ways of working.
* Proactivity managing timelines and delivery dates.
* Ability to adapt to changes and take on new challenges.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
