Role Overview:
As a Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in providing tailored support to children with various needs. Your responsibilities will include assisting with daily living activities, promoting independence, and ensuring a safe and nurturing environment. You will also transport children to appointments, activities, and community events, making a driving license essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide emotional and practical support to children and their families.
Assist with daily living tasks, including personal care and household activities.
Facilitate social and recreational activities to encourage engagement and development.
Drive children to appointments, schools, and community activities as required.
Maintain accurate records and documentation of care provided.
Collaborate with families, educators, and other professionals to ensure holistic support.
Qualifications and Experience:
Proven experience as a Support Worker or in a similar role, particularly with children.
A valid driving license and access to a vehicle for work purposes.
Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with children and families.
Understanding of child development and the challenges faced by children with additional needs.
Relevant qualifications in Health and Social Care (preferred but not essential).
