About the Role We are looking for a data-driven, proactive and innovative Ecommerce Strategist to help lead our clients to achieve sustained growth. This role involves collaborating closely with our data team to transform insights into actionable opportunities and developing growth roadmaps to optimise sales channels, enhance customer experience, and drive business success. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of ecommerce trends, digital marketing, and conversion optimisation strategies. Key Responsibilities Creating Ecommerce Strategy Engage with clients to deeply understand their priorities, objectives, and core KPIs. Collaborate with the data team to analyse customer behaviour, sales performance, and market trends, identifying key opportunities for growth. Develop and present data-driven strategic recommendations to optimise the entire customer journey, from acquisition to retention. Drive the QBR and onboarding data insights process to ensure all teams are aligned for success and clear strategic direction. AB Testing Develop and execute A/B testing strategies to optimise website performance, conversion rates, and customer experience. Collaborate with data analysts and UX designers to identify key areas for testing and hypothesis development. Analyse test results, extract meaningful insights, and translate findings into actionable recommendations. Continuously iterate and refine testing strategies based on performance data and business goals. Communicate test results and insights to stakeholders, providing clear recommendations for optimisation. Stay up to date with industry best practices and emerging trends in experimentation and conversion rate optimisation. Collaboration with the team Work closely with Account Managers to understand client goals, align on strategic priorities, and ensure seamless execution of ecommerce initiatives. Collaborate with Designers to brief and collaborate on suggested website UX/UI optimisations. Partner with the Marketing team to align ecommerce strategies with digital campaigns, SEO, paid media, and content strategies for maximum impact. Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to cross-functional teams, helping refine marketing messaging, promotional strategies, and customer engagement tactics. Strategic Projects Leverage data, insights, and strategic thinking to drive various ad hoc projects, ensuring maximum ROI and business impact. This may involve implementing subscription models, optimising bundling strategies to increase AOV, or launching a loyalty program, among other initiatives. Staying up to date with the latest app functionalities to provide informed recommendations on the best tech stack to support ecommerce goals Staying abreast of Shopify and Ecommerce trends Stay informed about the latest updates and enhancements within the Shopify ecosystem, including new app functionalities and features, to proactively identify opportunities for clients to optimise their ecommerce strategies and drive growth. Collaboration & Communication: Communicate effectively from both a written and verbal perspective with both clients and internal teams, managing expectations, addressing concerns, and celebrating successes.
