The Studio Manager and Chief Engineer will be responsible for the overall management of our studio, ensuring that all technical and operational aspects run smoothly. This role combines leadership, engineering expertise, and project management skills to create a highly productive environment.
Job Description
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in music production, offering a hands-on approach to managing projects while also actively participating in the setup, operation, and troubleshooting of live sound and recording systems. Experience with live concert engineering adds a layer of adaptability and quick problem-solving.
This role manages and supports the production team, recruits freelance staff, holds duty tech and keyholder responsibilities, and assists the General Manager with general building, health and safety, and fire evacuation responsibilities.
WHB produces three concert series each year, facilitates Artist recording sessions and projects (including education activities, community and fundraising events) which take place at both our Embassy Gardens and Kimber Road buildings and at other external venues around London.
Job Responsibilities
* Manage overall studio operations and technical aspects.
* Support production team and recruit freelance staff.
* Participate in live sound and recording system setup and troubleshooting.
* Assist with health and safety and fire evacuation responsibilities.
