Reports To: Captain (Store Manager)/First Mate (Assistant Manager)/Second Mate (Management Trainee)
Overview: Responsible for assisting the management team in driving sales through exceptional customer service. Ensures the customer experience, supports our brand promise (“Every Day Should Feel This Good”) and makes service a top priority.
Functions & Responsibilities:
1. Generate Sales:
o Responsible for meeting their goals/measures
o Develops and maintains relationships with top customers
o Supports in-store event sourcing and execution
2. Customer Experience:
o Ensures the store reflects Shep & Ian’s vision of “Every Day Should Feel This Good” to our customers through “Hosting the Party”
o Leads the store in email capture and educating new associates on best practices
o Ensures the customer wish list is always current with customers being notified when product arrives.
3. Crew Development:
o Assists with training new associates
o Helps foster a welcoming, fun, encouraging and energetic crew and customer environment
o Helps in recruiting and referring top talent for the store’s teams
o Supports store and team-building activities with the management team
4. Operations:
o Maintains efficient merchandise controls
o Maintains loss prevention awareness at all times
o Helps maintain a clean and tidy store environment
5. Merchandising:
o Helps to maintain merchandising as it pertains to company standards, current compass (floorset), and brand initiatives
o Contributes to weekly product feedback
