Salary: Meridian Trust Apprenticeship Scale – APP1 - £13,468
Hours of work: 37 Hours a week, 52 weeks per year
We have an exciting opportunity within our growing IT team for an IT Apprentice!
Working as part of a dedicated team within a group of our Academy sites, you will learn from your IT colleagues to develop your IT skills in an accredited apprenticeship program, primarily working with 1st line IT support issues.
The Opportunity
1. Learn from your IT colleagues and develop your IT skills in line with your apprenticeship program.
2. Gain a nationally recognised qualification in IT.
3. Gain valuable skills and experience in a workplace environment.
4. Provide 1st line IT support to staff & students at your group of academy sites.
5. Help to ensure the smooth running of all computer equipment within the Trust and respond to urgent IT issues.
6. Receive training from your apprenticeship provider and undertake coursework required by your apprenticeship provider.
The ideal candidate
1. Good educational background including GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths.
2. An IT based subject, or an IT related subject at A-Level.
3. Knowledge of PC hardware & Microsoft Windows.
4. Working knowledge of a range of software packages.
5. A passion for IT and supporting users.
