We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic practice nurse to join our experienced and supportive clinical team. The applicant will ideally have experience working in Primary care but we will consider those with a willingness to train to obtain qualifications in specific clinical skills and chronic disease management as per the needs of the surgery.
We are a supportive, forward-thinking GP training practice with a happy, reliable workforce providing care to approximately 11,700 patients. There is a strong emphasis on high-quality patient care, education, and personal development.
Main duties of the job
Our practice nurses undertake the full range of treatment room and chronic disease management, working closely alongside the wider practice team which includes GPs, HCAs, APs, First Contact Practitioners, pharmacy technicians, and our wider PCN Team.
On occasion, we may see patients in their homes for vaccinations and reviewing their long-term conditions.

Job responsibilities
Our nursing team undertake the full range of treatment room duties including wound care, immunisations and vaccinations, travel advice, cytology, contraceptive care, phlebotomy, and chronic disease management. We also undertake reviews via the telephone, where appropriate.

Qualifications
* Full registration with NMC
* Qualified RGN
* Experienced in performing ECGs
* Wound care
* Competent in administering Immunisations and Vaccinations
* Competent in performing Cytology
* Competent in performing Spirometry
* Competent in offering Travel Advice
* Diplomas in areas of Disease Management, such as Diabetes and CHD and Respiratory
* Knowledge of QOF
