About the role
Morrison Water Services are currently looking to recruit from a Trainee to Experienced Technicians to work on our South West Water contract, based in Redruth and the surrounding areas.
At Morrison Water Services we put people first. All our technicians will be entered into a structured mentoring and formally accredited programme that will allow you to attain externally accredited qualifications.
This role is skilled and rewarding but you will need to be flexible with regards to our working shift patterns. You may also be required for occasional night work. Your work environment will be site based and require you to travel across your designated areas to fulfil your role.
Whatever level you are at you will be required to complete classroom and ‘on the job’ training and learning. This would include but not limited to, Health and Safety, Streetworks and National Water Hygiene.
You will also have the opportunity to complete the required course modules to attain qualifications. Work with our experienced technicians to identify leakage on the water network. Engage with members of the public and our clients. Collaborate with our contract partners to deploy the latest technology and innovations.
Do you hold a current driving licence? You will need to hold one to be considered for this role.
Are you a self-starter, able to manage a variety of projects unaided?
Do you have an inquisitive approach to issues and problem solving?
Self-motivated with the ability to work on own initiative as well supporting the team?
Can you take ownership of problems and tasks seeing them through to completion?
Do you possess good time management skills to meet stringent timescales and targets?
Reporting to the Regional Engineer, you will have, or gained, the required technical skills, utilising tried and tested methodologies and equipment, while keeping up to date with new innovations and technologies.
For those, experienced, a proven track record in leakage and a commitment to engage, motivate, coach and mentor field staff of various levels, skills, and experience.
Upholding the reputation of both Morrison Water Services and our client and ensure your team follows all health and safety procedures and processes. Maintain compliance with the new roads and street work act (NRSWA) code of practice.

Do you hold a valid EUSR water hygiene card?
Are you holding a current NRSWA Unit 2 and 10 accreditation?
Proven track record in surveying the network, pinpointing, and promoting leaks
Are you IOSH Supervising Safely/Managing Safely qualified?
Are you first aid qualified?
