Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled, qualified Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in the completion of all statutory accounts for auditors and any other statutory reporting, while also possessing a working knowledge of group management reporting, intercompany transactions, and group tax reporting matters.
Responsibilities
1. Prepare and submit statutory financial statements in compliance with UK GAAP, IFRS, and other relevant regulations.
2. Liaise with external auditors to facilitate annual audits and ensure timely completion.
3. Ensure compliance with all UK statutory and regulatory requirements, including Companies House filings and HMRC submissions.
4. Review and analyse financial data to identify discrepancies and maintain accurate financial records.
5. Assist auditors with the preparation of corporation tax returns, VAT returns, and other statutory filings.
6. Support the finance team with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
7. Provide technical guidance on accounting and financial reporting issues.
Requirements
1. ACCA, qualified accountant.
2. Proven experience in statutory accounting within a group of companies, preferably within the UK.
3. Strong knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS, and UK taxation requirements.
4. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP or similar) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
5. Experience in accounting within a manufacturing environment is preferred.
6. Working knowledge of group management reporting, intercompany transactions, and group tax reporting matters.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: From £30,000.00 per year
