Due to the rapid expansion at Keysoe Therapy and Well-Being Centre, we are actively recruiting for exceptional teaching specialists who are experienced with SEND. We specialise in therapeutic and alternative education using horses and other animals as the way to connect students with nature. Set in the beautiful Bedfordshire countryside, this role offers unique opportunity for an experienced teacher who is looking to step away from the traditional classroom setting. We are looking for enthusiastic, dedicated, qualified and professional teachers who would like to move out of a more formal setting to give support those who really need it. About the Role To provide, assist and plan the development and delivery of specialist, educational and therapeutic services within the Therapy and Well-Being Centre. Deliver a range of programmes to students with SEMH needs, disabilities and learning needs in group and individual settings Produce educational material to support learners and their needs, creating written formats and procedures to be used internally as part of AP. Monitor, record, assess and intervene with participant progress and behaviour. This will include marking / grading Liaise with other organisations both verbally and in writing to transfer information regarding participants, marketing or otherwise Interviewing prospective participants to check for suitability and assess entry levels Liaise with, and support participant parents/guardians around SEND/SEMH provision and EHCP applications. Feeding back to funding parties providing evidence of participants progress and planning, including attending some ECHP meetings. To support/train staff with understanding a wide range of SEND/ SEMH conditions. Have an in depth understanding of Safeguarding protocols and policies Assist with aspects of any inspection or affiliation for Centre approvals Assist, plan, and deliver ideas around advertising and commercial activities to support the Centre To promote educational visits and provisions though sales Welfare of the ponies and other animal within the sessions and in their general care Offer basic support with the care of animals when required Ad hoc activities as requested by management About You: Teaching qualification or relevant experience supporting children with SEND SEND experience Safeguarding experience Interests in animals or animal therapy Organised and meticulous record keeping Animal handling experience Team player – using the company values to work together Approachable and able to create a comfortable atmosphere for children and vulnerable adults Takes pride in presentation All team members are expected to demonstrate and advocate company values at all times; Teamwork, Respect, Integrity, Learning, Sharing. This role will require an enhanced DBS check on a frequent basis. Therefore, the holder of the role must satisfy the evolving requirements of DBS certification.
