Catering Assistant - Solihull As a Catering Assistant, you'll be part of a dynamic, fast-paced team, contributing to a positive and friendly work environment. Your key responsibilities will include: Maintaining retail store to highest level of cleanliness to company guidelines Organising your work location and using prioritising to ensure daily tasks are completed in a timely manner Ensure all stock is front facing Ensure all stock is in date and wastage process is being fully implemented/documented and reports shared with your line manager each week Ensure all stock is counted each week using the correct process and reports are shared with your line manager each week Ensure all stock is ordered, checked, and stored to company guidelines and using systems provided Ensure no new products are added to inventory unless agreed with by your line manager and confirmation has been provided by management team before ordering Ensure all items on sale have an updated SEL label dated within the last 4 weeks and in place correctly inline with the item, SEL needs to be clean, tidy and visible to the customer Ensure stock is full on all displays Ensure no handmade signage is in place anywhere in the work area, speak to line manager for signage requirements Third party supplier stock requirements i.e. Costa/Springvale/Epicurium etc. are ordered with line manager and not allowed to run out Customer and Client Satisfaction To be polite, professional and friendly at all times with customers, clients and colleagues To ensure the highest level of customer care is adhered to at all times To demonstrate a can-do attitude towards individual customer requests and strive to exceed customer expectations To maximise all sales opportunities through selling techniques To accept payment and give change to customers, including operating a till To acquire a good knowledge of all products in order to be able to advise individual customers on their product choice To actively gain customer feedback, passing information gained onto your line manager. To maintain temperature records as required and to report any variance To operate machinery as shown and trained to do so, ensuring that the equipment is used safely and in accordance with current regulations and company policies Our ideal Retail Team Leader will: Good communication skills in order to be able to liaise with a wide range of visitors to your work area Be able to comply with legislation and follow all rules and regulation laid down in the staff handbook and unit policy statements, with regard to uniform, personal hygiene, health and safety. CRB if applicable Security checked if applicable, SIA, Credit check, depending on the role you carry out.
