About the role
Vision for Education are excited to offer this bespoke opportunity to support passionate people with entering the education sector. We work alongside our client schools to provide successful Trainee Teaching Assistants with high quality training and paid on the job experience.
Following a successful interview and pending suitability, safeguarding and identity checks, we will work to secure you a paid placement in a school to further enhance your skill set. We will support you to develop your identity as an educator and help to choose your specialist area from EYFS, KS1 and KS2 provision.
Prior to starting your placement, you will be required to complete a comprehensive online training programme delivered by Vision for Education and school leaders, ultimately providing you with the essential skills needed to work as a Teaching Assistant. You will need to be able to work 5 days a week, from 8:30 - 3:30 each day. The role starts as a temporary role, but successful candidates are often made permanent within 18 weeks.
About the school
The successful Teaching Assistant will be working with a variety of primary schools within the Callington area who are focused on supporting students to reach their full potential. With Teaching Assistants being instrumental in ensuring the smooth running of any school, you will demonstrate excellent communication skills and demonstrate an interest and passion in supporting the needs of all children.
The role of a Teaching Assistant varies from each school. Initially you will be required to support the delivery of quality learning and work with students on a 1:1 basis, in small groups and whole class activities.
Requirements
To be considered for the role of Trainee Teaching Assistant you will:
1. Have a desire to support young people with their learning
2. Show dedication for improving outcomes for all children
3. Have a caring, positive and flexible attitude
4. Be proactive and a good communicator
5. Be reliable in both attendance and punctuality
6. Be free and available for the placement to start within a few weeks of registering
7. Complete the required training and participating in ongoing CPD
8. Be willing to pay for an enhanced DBS check and register with the update service
