Loughborough University is seeking to appoint a Residential Building Fabric Park lead to be responsible for the delivery of planned, preventative and reactive maintenance of all Residential Areas, with a focus on student accommodation across the university estate.
The successful candidate will maintain the university functions and ensure adherence to operational, regulatory and University Compliance requirements. You will be responsible for completing tasks in a timely manner, focussing on critical tasks alongside asset operational maintenance.
You will act as site control function for permits to work and access to the site, and liaise with, monitor and control the activities of external contractors working at the University.
You will also take specific responsibility for the maintenance and operation of the residential blocks across campus and will assist the Building Fabric Services Manager in leading a small team of operatives to deliver the service across the campus.
Here’s more about the role and what we’re looking for:
1. Someone with previous experience of managing building fabric team members
2. Someone who can demonstrate ability to specify to a high degree of accuracy maintenance task, schedules, method statements and risk
3. Someone who can demonstrate ability to advise on costs and scheduling for building services related work and monitor costs.
4. Someone familiar with reading and interpreting engineering and building schematic drawings
5. Someone computer literate, able to read and work with installation drawings, MS excel, MS word and work with our Work allocation system Archibus.
6. Someone experienced in compiling job plans, method statements and risk assessments
Qualifications Required:
7. IOSH Managing Safely
8. City and Guilds Technical Qualification or equivalent
9. ILM level 2 in Management or equivalent, or willing to undertake this
10. To have served an indentured apprenticeship or equivalent experience or equivalent practical experience
