Learning Support Assistant - Whitehill Community Academy
Since becoming part of the Trinity Multi-Academy Trust in January 2024, Whitehill Community Academy has been on a rapid journey of improvement. These transformational changes mean that it is an exciting time to join the academy. We are incredibly proud of our successes, and we are looking for the best people to work alongside our already committed team to continue our journey.
All these fantastic and exciting initiatives require the expertise and commitment of dedicated staff. Whitehill Community Academy now wishes to appoint a Learning Support Assistant. In this role, you will work closely with individuals and support teaching staff to meet the needs of all students to enable students to progress.
Knowledge or experience of working in an educational setting is desirable but not essential; we believe in getting the right people into our organisation. Training specific to an educational setting can be provided as required; our support staff receive weekly professional development as part of the job.
This would make an ideal position for anyone that is considering teaching as a career and wanting to gain some experience before starting their training; potentially within one of the schools within our multi-academy trust. As part of the Trinity Multi-Academy Trust, we have close links to the Trinity Institute of Education, which provides numerous routes into the profession.
What we need:
* Good numeracy and literacy.
* Ability to relate well to children and young people.
* Experience of working with or caring for children or young people of a relevant age.
What can we offer you?
* An opportunity to help shape the transformation of Whitehill Community Academy.
* Full support from a dedicated team of senior leaders and a large pastoral team.
* Career progression and cross-trust working.
* A range of staff benefits, including an Electric Car scheme, Cycle to Work scheme, reduced-cost health cover, access to free counselling, and access to the excellent local government pension scheme.
Our vision is to deliver a world-class education to the pupils of Whitehill. If you would like to be part of our journey, we look forward to hearing from you.
Start Date: As soon as possible
Closing Date: 8am, Monday 03 February 2025
Interviews: W/C 03 February 2025
