An exciting opportunity has arisen at Broomgrove Trust Nursing Home for the position of Domestic Assistant/Cleaner on days, who possesses a genuine commitment to providing high quality cleaning to our residents under the direction of the Catering&Support Services manager. There is always support from our Support Services Supervisor who works together with you on the floor. Every day there are 4-5 people on the shift for our 40 bed-unit(2 floors). Domestic Assistant/Cleaner with minimum 1 year experience A professional, friendly attitude Quick learner, able to implement our staff values within the team Motivated and enthusiastic Drive and focus to provide excellent customer service and quality of cleaning Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Responsibilities To perform general cleaning duties in resident’s rooms and communal areas of the home according to the routine of frequency required by the approved work schedules. Using mechanical equipment after training, for example: vacuum cleaner, scrubber/buffing machine, high pressure steamer. Cleaning and storing equipment and materials after use. Removing rubbish, ie. Emptying bins, removal of clinical waste, bagging up rubbish in the correct colour coded bags and taking to allocated collection points. Replenish supplies, ensuring all areas have sufficient and appropriate supplies. Ensure that Control of Infection Policies and Procedures are rigorously adhered to. Report all breakages or faulty equipment. To assist with kitchen duties as per the needs of the business/to provide cover for holidays and sickness. Maintain confidentiality of information according to our Nursing Home's policy. Hours Full time - 25 hours/5 days per week (including weekends) Morning Shift only: 8:00 - 13:00 Only 1 role available About Your benefits: Salary - The rate of pay is £11.44 per hour (Mon-Fri) with a 20% enhancement at weekends (£13.73 Sat-Sun).
