Our client is a growing provider of outsourced MSP IT services to businesses and charities on the south coast. Our clients typically operate computer networks with between 1 and 20 virtual servers, and between 10 and 150 network users. Although we provide IT infrastructure and expertise, at our heart we are a service company. The company is on a growth trajectory, so this is a great opportunity to join an organization in its relatively early stages that is constantly evolving. The Role of IT Support Engineer
There are two elements to this role. The primary element is providing on-site customer support, which may include configuration and installation of IT equipment. This means customer-facing skills are key in this position. The second element is to provide cover and backup for our Helpdesk function. The role of IT Engineer is varied, fast-paced, and extremely rewarding. The world of IT is forever changing, and the need for proactive knowledge development is key.
Some of the key responsibilities will be:
1. Configuration and preparation of laptops and desktops (we primarily sell Lenovo)
2. Delivery and installation of equipment onto client sites
3. Providing on-site support for clients
4. Providing help desk support to include resolution of support tickets
Essential criteria for IT Support Engineer
1. Minimum 2 years experience working with IT
2. Knowledge and experience of Microsoft 365
3. Azure experience is desirable but not essential
4. Flexibility and a can-do attitude
5. Confidence with dealing with customers – excellent verbal communication
6. Must be meticulous about timekeeping and proactive communication/updates with both customers and colleagues

Based on the edge of Romsey in Hampshire, our office is located 5 minutes from Romsey and 25 minutes, or less, from Ringwood, Salisbury, Southampton, and Winchester. The office has free parking, great views, and many woodland walks that are perfect for a lunchtime stroll!
