In our Support Worker role, you’ll enable people to live as independently as possible with dignity, promoting general wellbeing and respect for their wishes and preferences, by providing personal care and support in line with policies and procedures and individualised care and support plans.
Location: Romsey Avenue, Warwickshire
Salary: Up to £11,700 per annum (based on a 100% FTE of £23,400 per annum)
Contract: Permanent / Part-Time
⏰Your week: 18.75 hours p/week (3 days over a 7 day flexible rota)
✨Snapshot of your role
This is what your day will look like as our Support Worker:
1) Enable people to maximise their independence within their homes and the local community.
2) Promote and enable individual choices in the support provided.
3) Maintain and respect all peoples’ choices, privacy, confidentiality, dignity, and independence, treating them as individuals.
4) Ensure that people are fully involved in identifying their own needs and planning their own support.
5) Lone-working during sleep-in/night shifts between 11pm – 7am.
Your toolkit for success
To thrive in our Support Worker role, you’ll need:
- A strong understanding of mental health and/or equivalent experience in a mental health environment
- Empathetic individual with a natural flair in building relationships
- NVQ/Diploma level 2 in Health & Social Care or equivalent, or willingness to work towards.
- Demonstrates excellent listening skills with the ability to respond to enquiries without judgement.
- Non-judgemental and have a ‘can do’ attitude.
- Able to demonstrate understanding of the skills required to deliver care/support.
