Governance Professional
Part-time (0.5 FTE – on average 18 hours per week, 800 hours annualised)

Full-time equivalent salary range £40,755 to £45,510 pa dependent on qualifications
and experience.
We are seeking a highly organised and self-motivated individual, with the enthusiasm and drive to help deliver strong and effective governance practices at The Tiffin Girls’ School, a selective state school and stand-alone Academy, and the desire to make a positive difference in education.
Accountable to the Headteacher, this role has the fantastic benefit of flexibility. This is a part-time role and can be worked flexibly both in terms of hours and location. Some Governor meetings are held early in the evening (online and in person), not during school hours, so this is a role that can work really well around family life and/or other hobbies and interests.
The successful candidate will be a highly efficient, proactive and a good communicator. This pivotal role demands attention to detail, a commitment to outstanding stakeholder service, and strong administrative expertise. As a key figure in ensuring the smooth operation of governance processes, the successful candidate will uphold the highest standards of confidentiality and professionalism. Previous experience in an education setting would be an advantage; however, proven experience of administration management and organisation is essential.
A candidate suitable for the role will:
• Be able to support the efficient and effective operation of the trust board and its committees
• Ensure governance at all levels is carrying out its functions
• Lead on development of the trust’s governance framework and driving improvements to its systems, processes and structures
• Manage and coordinate the delivery and ongoing improvement of governance support across the trust
