You would be working as part of a welcoming, friendly team inspiring, encouraging and enabling Service Users to engage in a person-centred programme of learning, vocational & leisure activities.
This is a part time vacancy for a support worker/learning mentor, the vacancy is for 21/28 hours a week, working 9am until 4pm, 3/4 days a week, with an opportunity to cover staff sickness and annual leave, if you wish, but no weekend or night work.
You will provide personalised care and support to Service Users to help develop communication skills, independence, social & emotional well-being and to help achieve their aspirations.
You will also be required to:
Work supervised and unsupervised with individual Service Users or small groups, helping to encourage them to remain on task to complete activities.
Ensure that all agreed care plans, recording forms, assessments, management strategies, and behavioural interventions are completed.
Assist in the development of each individual and sensitively support their personal care needs and relationships.
