An exciting opportunity has become available to work within a friendly and proactive team in delivering effective and evidence-based care to patients with leg ulceration and venous issues and to work as part of the Lower Limb Specialist collaborative.
As a band 5 leg ulcer nurse, you will also play a supportive role for the treatment room service that works closely with the leg ulcer service.
Main duties of the job:
1. Patient-facing care either within the clinic setting or the patients' own home environment.
2. To undertake non-complex initial assessment of patients with leg ulceration and varicose veins.
3. To undertake reviews of patients as directed by the senior leg ulcer nurse.
4. To develop plans of care and liaise with colleagues within the treatment room service, district nursing, community health teams, GPs, and other specialist services.
