Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust
Band 8a Full or Part Time Clinical / Counselling Psychologist
The MK Specialist Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment Team (MK Sp CAMHS-CRHTT: commonly referred to as LIST due to preference of young people) is a specialist provision in Milton Keynes. It is a multi-disciplinary team (MDT) of mental health professionals providing a 24-hour, 7 day per week service to young people experiencing an acute psychiatric/psychological crisis. The team provides an alternative to acute hospital admission by delivering intensive community-based interventions. Where a hospital admission does occur, the MK Sp CAMHS-CRHTT will assist in shortening the inpatient stay by facilitating early discharge and support back to the community. The role of MK Sp CAMHS-CRHTT is to conduct urgent comprehensive mental health assessments for service users and determine as required the need for either home treatment or admission. MK Sp CAMHS-CRHTT robustly review young people who may require an acute admission and consider if they can provide a less restrictive alternative to hospital admission.
