Qualifications:
1. Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures and principles.
2. Experience with creating financial statements, general ledger, supporting journals and schedules, and reconciliation of accounts.
3. Experience working in not-for-profit would be an asset.
4. Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency in accounting and donor management software (i.e., Raisers Edge or Donor Perfect), QuickBooks or other financial management software, Excel, and MS Word.
5. Attention to detail.
6. Time management skills and ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
7. Strong communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills that include sensitivity to donor information.
8. Post-secondary education in financial related courses or a related field with equivalent experience.
