Purchasing Coordinator
Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 per annum
Working Hours: Monday - Friday 8 am - 5 pm
I am currently recruiting for a strong customer service/administration candidate for a manufacturing company based in the Crawley area. This candidate will benefit from having a background in sales administration, purchasing, and freight, but this is not essential.
Responsibilities:
* Oversee the procurement of products from suppliers, keeping contacts updated and informed of any issues, ensuring all information is recorded correctly on the purchasing system.
* Manage stock levels to maximize sales opportunities and manage costs.
* Coordinate with the sales team regarding contracts.
* Conduct bi-weekly stock assessments to manage the ordering process, ensuring there is no risk of under or overstocking.
* Manage product lead times to ensure timely delivery while providing excellent customer service.
* Coordinate and schedule deliveries in collaboration with freight forwarders.
* Collaborate with other internal departments to conduct supplier reviews, delivery schedules, and competitive pricing.
* Generate monthly reports on the analysis of slow-moving stock.
