About the Opportunity:
Reporting directly to the Delivery Manager this site-based position will develop and execute projects and tasks associated with the Jacobs Field Solutions frameworks on the Sellafield Site in Cumbria.
The successful candidates will be flexible, knowledgeable and willing and able to function both within the team and independently as required.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Produce scope documents for SL approval;
2. Produce DRF/PTF for SL approval provide key constructability input to designs and MDDR/SDDR – ensure designs are as per scope doc/DRF requirements;
3. Provide ‘cradle to grave’ accountability for a work package, ensuring all changes are identified and managed, and configuration control is maintained;
4. Priorities and organize project overarching programme;
5. Update overarching project team programme;
6. Co-ordinate the delivery of multi-discipline work packages including engineering design, procurement, construction and commissioning activities for Plant Areas or Systems through all phases of the project;
7. Attend monthly internal EAC review – Provide input for the team operative and costs;
8. Attend Weekly CE/EWN meeting – Provide detail on EWN and delays to task etc.
Here's What You'll Need:
Essential:
9. Degree in Engineering, Project Management, Construction or can prove equivalent experience within industry; Qualification in Project Management beneficial e.g. APMP or PRINCE2);
10. Minimum 5 years’ experience related to an engineering or management role; a background in process and Nuclear is advantageous; Experience of managing contracts for both direct and subcontracted labour;
11. Leading a Mechanical team within the Operational performance unit; Providing facilitation, leadership, mentoring and coaching to enhance the team’s general capability;
12. Clear and concise communication and presentation skills;
13. Lead the production of proposals and tenders in accordance with client and Jacobs commercial requirements and governance;
14. Work in a safe and sustainable manner, adhering to the highest professional standards whilst ensuring accountability for safety, and making sure our staff ‘always do the right thing’ and maintain robust HSE behaviours and cultures;
15. In conjunction with technical leads and Designers produce and maintain project baselines (scope, cost and schedules); Provide robust financial and project reporting;
16. UK Citizenship and ability to acquire SC or DV Clearance.
