As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dedicated and experienced Building Services Manager to join our team and lead projects to success. Job Purpose: The Building Services Manager will oversee and coordinate the design & installation of building systems to ensure compliance with technical and regulatory standards. The role will involve managing M&E projects, liaising with clients and contractors, and ensuring allprojects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standard. Key Responsibilities: 1. Project Management: • Plan, execute, and oversee building services projects, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met. • Coordinate with design and engineering teams to develop and review project specifications. • Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders. 2. Client Liaison: • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, understanding their requirements and providing tailored solutions. • Ensure excellent client relationships through effective communication and professional service delivery. 3. Technical Oversight: • Oversee the design, installation, and commissioning of mechanical and electrical systems. • Ensure systems comply with regulatory requirements, safety standards, and best practices. • Conduct quality assurance checks throughout the project lifecycle. 4. Team Leadership: • Manage and support project teams, including engineers, consultants, and subcontractors. 5. Cost Control: • Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring cost-efficiency and transparency. • Evaluate and approve quotes, tenders, and invoices from subcontractors and suppliers. 6. Health and Safety: • Ensure all projects adhere to health and safety regulations. • Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies as required. Key Skills and Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Building Services Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or relevant time served experience which can be demonstrated • Proven experience in managing M&E or building services projects. • Strong understanding of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire safety. • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously. • Strong knowledge of industry regulations and standards. • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. • Proficiency in relevant software. • Membership in a relevant professional body (e.g., CIBSE, IET) is desirable.
