Hours: 21 hours per week, 12 months FTC
Salary: From 1st April; £15.19 per hour (£16,587 per annum, pro rata)
As a Volunteer Co-ordinator for St Monica Trust, you're going to have a positive impact on the well-being of our residents and communities. You'll do this by helping us recruit, mentor, support and co-ordinate volunteers in our nursing homes and retirement villages at both Cote Lane and Westbury Fields. Day-to-day, it's a busy, varied, and enjoyable role, and you will be:
* Growing and maintaining an active, diverse pool of volunteers.
* Promoting volunteering to both internal and external stakeholders.
* Managing all elements of the volunteer journey- from recruitment and placement of volunteers, through to making sure we retain them.
* Shaping the future of the Volunteer Service by encouraging involvement and feedback from volunteers and making sure they get the best possible volunteer experience.
* Working on volunteer policy development, improvements, projects and new initiatives that support all colleagues who work with volunteers.
* Providing data and reports so we can monitor the impact of our volunteers.
* Managing all risks associated with volunteering, including information governance, health & safety, and safeguarding.
Key Outcomes/Results:
* Increase the numbers and diversity of volunteers and promote the value of volunteering internally and externally.
* Ensure volunteers are recruited and on-boarded effectively, including all necessary checks.
* Retain, support and engage volunteers, ensuring induction, training and other support needs are identified and actioned.
* Through collaboration and relationship-building, lead on volunteer policy development, improvements, projects and new initiatives that support colleagues working with volunteers.
* Provide data and reports to monitor the impact of volunteers.
* Manage all risks associated with volunteering, including information governance, health & safety, and safeguarding.
Skills and Qualifications:
* Experience of working with volunteers.
* Competent use of Microsoft Office 365.
* Good standard of numeracy and literacy (incl. report writing).
* Full drivers licence (access to own transport).
* General knowledge of GDPR and Information Governance (confidentiality).
* Knowledge of issues affecting older people.
* Experience of risk assessment and management.
