HR Officer - Pay and Reward About the Role We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced HR Officer - Pay and Reward to join our friendly team. This key role will play a crucial part in ensuring the effective and equitable administration of our policy, pay and reward strategy. Key Responsibilities: Policy Development and Review: Support on the review, update, and implementation of all HR policies, including schools HR policies. Ensure all HR policies, including schools, are aligned with best practice, legal requirements, and the organisation's strategic objectives. Provide expert advice and guidance to managers on all aspects of HR policies. Job Evaluation: Proven experience in applying and maintaining the NJC Job Evaluation Scheme within a local authority context. Lead and support services in the drafting of job evaluation questionnaires. Conduct job evaluations and provide expert advice on job grading and classification. Ensure fair and consistent application of the job evaluation scheme across all roles within the organisation. Pay and Reward Administration: Manage the annual pay review process, including national salary increases and drafting of the pay policy statement. Ensure accurate and timely processing of information for payroll colleagues. Monitor and analyse pay and reward data to identify trends and areas for improvement. Employee Relations: Provide advice and support to managers on employee relations issues related to pay and reward. Contribute to the development and implementation of employee engagement strategies. Project Work: Participate in and support on a range of HR projects, such as the implementation of new HR rewards. Essential Skills and Experience: Willing to work with services on the drafting of job evaluation questionnaires. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail. Proactively identifies opportunities for improvement and takes action to address them. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
