Chaplain Location: Winchester Position: Part-Time, 2 days a week (0.4 FTE) Salary: £28,000 pro rata Affiliation: Church of England About Us St John’s Winchester has provided a place of community, reflection, and compassion for over 900 years. We are now looking for a caring and experienced Chaplain to lead spiritual and pastoral support across our community. Your Role Pastoral Care: Offer one-to-one support and guidance to residents, staff, and volunteers, especially in times of illness, bereavement, or personal difficulty. Community Support: Lead services and discussions, bringing people together in a welcoming environment. Events & Services: Oversee services for Remembrance Sunday, Founder’s Day, and major Christian festivals, creating inclusive celebrations for all. Holistic Support: Collaborate with our Welfare team to address emotional and spiritual needs. About You We’re looking for an Ordained Minister recognised by the Church of England with: Experience in chaplaincy or pastoral care Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach Flexibility to meet the varied needs of our community, including some on-call availability Desirable: Experience with older adults or in residential settings, and training in pastoral counselling.
