We immerse young people and adults into English language and 19th century non-fiction literature as part of the GCSE specification. As a Lecturer in English, you should: • Hold a relevant Level 3 qualification • Hold a teaching qualification or be willing to work towards one • Be able to evidence continuing professional development You should also be able to demonstrate: • Experience of teaching English up to GCSE Level • Evidence of effective tracking and monitoring of a wide range of students on a range of different programmes • Enthusiasm for teaching English, and a love of the subject, with an ability to motivate and inspire learners to succeed.
