UK Financial Reporting - Assistant Manager / Manager

Main responsibilities
This role will include the following, adapting as required to support the needs of the firm:
* Carrying out technical reviews of the financial statements medium & large UK-incorporated entities, included listed and public interest entities;
* Responding to technical queries raised by engagement teams on UK-adopted International Accounting Standards, UK GAAP and UK company law and regulation;
* Carrying out technical reviews of non-standard audit reports prepared under International or UK ISAs;
* Project-manage the standardisation of templates across various jurisdictions served by the firm;
* Preparation of guidance, including factsheets and templates, as a resource for teams carrying out UK engagements, including delivery of training on these where required;
* Liaising with other departments, including those within the Risk, Compliance and Professional Standards team.
Required skills and experience
* Strong technical financial reporting skills
* ACCA / ACA qualified (or equivalent)
* Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a small team
* Ability to use own initiative
* Able to train and coach peers
* Confidence and ability to engage with senior staff and partners
* Strong communication skills, both oral and written
