Quality Technician
About The Role
In this Quality engineering role, you will divide your time between incoming goods inspection and general quality assurance duties. You will liaise directly with suppliers to resolve quality issues and support the wider team with concession management, product and process audits, and supplier development. You will assist with the generation of inspection control plans and completing inventory part approvals.
Role Involves:
* Inspection of incoming goods.
* Troubleshooting and resolution of build issues at Production or Supplier.
* Troubleshooting and resolution of stock issues.
* Raise the overall awareness of quality requirements across the team.
* Amend existing client build documents, ensuring processes are as efficient and simple as possible, ensuring instructions are clear and accurate for other technicians to follow.
* Review build documents.
* Always adhere to safety procedures and guidelines.
* Control and document all Equipment calibration on site.
* Control and document all Non-conformance material.
* Raise necessary documentation for DMR material disposition.
* Raise necessary Supplier Quality Problem Report (SQPR).
* Raise notification Tasks to individuals or team through JIRA.
* Present monthly data to Management.
* Monitor and document COSHH on shopfloor.
* Monitor and document First Aid for facility.
* Monitor and document PPE is available for all personnel.
* Assist in Supplier and Internal audits.
* Raise Concession document when required.
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
* Proven analytical skills and the ability to solve problems and provide feedback to others.
* Ability to share knowledge with others to aid team development.
* Demonstrate the ability to handle projects and provide feedback to other parties on progress, issues, resolutions, etc.
* Organisational skills and ability to keep focus on quality.
* Ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
* Ability to quickly learn about new technology and keep pace with an ever-changing industry and help communicate to the wider team.
* Ability to show flexibility to help meet the changing needs of the department.
* Show a clear path towards obtaining relevant certifications and learning new technology.
* Basic Shopfloor and Warehousing experience.
* Presentation skills through Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
* Face to face customer communication experience.
* Ability to read and interpret technical Mechanical/Electronics drawings and data sheets.
* Use of Quality reporting tools such as 8D, FMEA, etc.
* Understanding of Quality Management System ISO 9001.
