The Role

As the Quality Systems Co-ordinator, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the development of quality assurance processes and updating documented information within the management system. You will also be providing supporting documentation and help to general users of quality related systems and following the technical control system to ensure all changes are managed.
To succeed in this Quality Systems Co-ordinator position, you will require experience of using various problem-solving and continuous improvement tools, such as Six Sigma, and 5-S process documentation experience.
Additional Responsibilities
- Supporting the UKAEA process for identification and control of quality related concerns.
- Managing, monitoring, and maintaining quality performance metrics and preparing the reports for the appropriate meetings.
- Promoting the adherence to quality processes throughout the organisation.
- Controlling quality related databases, including SharePoint site and Intranet pages.
- Supporting external and internal quality related audits.
- Assisting in the production of quality plan.
There may be some travel to other UKAEA sites and external partners.
Qualifications
Essential Requirements:
- Degree or equivalent in engineering / science discipline.
- Knowledge and demonstrable experience of ISO9001/ISO14001/ISO45001 based management systems, including preparing and managing documentation, i.e. policies, procedures, guidance, specifications, and instructions.
- Excellent computer skills including the ability to prepare Excel spreadsheets, including the use of pivot tables, various calculations, and charts, and use various Microsoft Office Products (Word, Power Point) to support the analysis & reporting of data and trend identification.
- Ability to clearly communicate both verbally and through the production of written reports.
- Knowledge and experience of various industrial standards for example fabrication and welding.
