The Role
This is a newly created position that will help support this established finance team and liaise with senior managers and stakeholders. This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a growing organisation who value their employees and in return provide a great environment to work in. This role is ideally suited to someone looking to progress their career in finance and press ahead with their accounting qualifications whilst taking on people management.
You will be involved in but not restricted to the following duties:
1. Budget, Year End and Monthly Management Accounts Reporting
2. Development of systems and processes
3. Finance System Operation and Maintenance
4. Supervising and mentoring a team of Finance Assistants
5. To assist in the management and integrity of the financial management systems ensuring that records maintained are accurate, timely and made in accordance with relevant legislation.
6. Produce accurate Finance reports to specific deadlines
7. Assist Finance Manager in the delivery of financial monitoring reports
8. Provide clear, visible and professional support and promote a high performance culture that drives continual improvement
9. Assist with any ad hoc finance duties in and around the team
To be considered for this opportunity, you must have the following experience:
1. Ideal candidate will be part-qualified or qualified (ACCA, CIMA or ICAS)
2. Previous financial management experience in an organisation of similar size and complexity
3. Experience supporting the preparation of statutory year end accounts
4. Management or supervisory experience including development and coaching of those working at Finance Assistant level or equivalent
5. It would be desirable if they had relevant experience within RSL, Social Care or not-for-profit environment
6. Previous experience using accounting software's is preferential.
7. Advanced user of Excel
8. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
