Job Summary: We are looking for a highly motivated and professional HIAB Driver Class 2 to operate our fleet of vehicles in the Borehamwood area. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering goods to various locations, ensuring the safe and timely transportation of materials using a HIAB crane. The role involves a combination of driving, loading, and unloading duties, requiring attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
* Safely operate a Class 2 vehicle equipped with a HIAB crane, adhering to all relevant road safety regulations.
* Load and unload materials using the HIAB crane, ensuring secure and safe transportation of goods.
* Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and report any issues promptly.
* Plan delivery routes efficiently, taking into consideration traffic conditions and delivery schedules.
* Provide exceptional customer service by maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with clients and colleagues.
* Complete delivery paperwork accurately and on time, including proof of delivery and any relevant documentation.
* Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as health and safety regulations.
* Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams to coordinate efficient loading and unloading processes.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Valid Class 2 driving license with an up-to-date CPC and HIAB certification.
* Proven experience as a HIAB Driver Class 2, with a clean driving record.
* Strong understanding of road safety regulations and transportation laws.
* Excellent spatial awareness and maneuvering skills, especially when operating the HIAB crane.
* Ability to handle goods with care and attention to prevent damage during transportation.
* Effective communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
* Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual handling tasks as required.
* Flexibility in working hours, with the possibility of occasional overtime.
