Croft Community School is a generic special school for pupils who have moderate, severe, or profound and multiple learning difficulties or Autism Spectrum Conditions.
We are looking for a trustworthy, hardworking, and dedicated Cleaner/Keyholder to join our school team. This is a vital role in ensuring that our premises are clean, secure, and ready for staff and pupils each day.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for general cleaning duties across the school site as well as unlocking and securing the building. As a keyholder, you will also play a part in ensuring the school is safe and secure.
Key Responsibilities:
• Unlocking and locking the school premises
• Carrying out routine cleaning tasks including classrooms, toilets, corridors, and communal areas
• Ensuring high standards of hygiene and cleanliness at all times
• Reporting any maintenance or health and safety issues
• Supporting the site team when required with occasional porterage or deliveries
What We’re Looking For:
• Previous cleaning experience (preferable)
• Trustworthy and responsible, with experience or confidence in keyholding duties
• Ability to work independently with good time management skills
• Commitment to maintaining high cleaning standards
• Friendly, approachable, and flexible attitude
Working Pattern:
20 hours per week.
Split shift Monday to Friday to be agreed with the Head of School

The ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.
