Description Closing Date: 05/12/2024 Contract Type: Temporary until 31/12/2026 Salary: £47,265 Hours: 35 hours weekly Stirling Council is the lead authority in the joint agreement between Stirling, Clackmannanshire and Falkirk Councils to provide a Forth Valley wide emergency out of hours social work service. A significant area of work in this context will be child and adult protection therefore applicants will either be trained or experienced in this field or willing to undertake the necessary training. Diploma in Social Work or equivalent, with a minimum of three years post qualifying experience. A balance of professional skills is necessary for this generic service. A strong knowledge of primary legislation is required, MHO accreditation, an understanding of other care group settings and emergency duty experience are desired. Post holders will work (35 hours) a week during the evenings, weekends and public holidays plus night time standbys on a rota shift system with occasional daytime meetings. The post involves hybrid working. An on call allowance is paid for night time standbys and working out of hours. The post is for a fixed term of two years. The grade is currently subject to job evaluation. The successful candidate will be required to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme (PVG) for children and adults.
