Fire Alarm Engineer - Anglia Based
Morgan Fire Protection specialises in the delivery of planned and corrective maintenance of fire detection systems and portable extinguishers. While the majority of Morgan Fire’s operational resources are based around London, we provide national coverage through our reactive delivery model. We are currently looking to appoint a new Fire Alarm Service Engineer to join our team servicing the London and South East region.
Basic Salary – £35,000 per annum subject to experience

Responsibilities
Morgan Fire Protection’s Fire Alarm Service Engineer’s:
* Carry out routine maintenance, service, and repairs on fire detection systems at customer sites, ensuring they are kept in good working order and in accordance with current regulations and standards.
* Maintain and service fire alarms/emergency lights across a wide range of systems across multiple customer locations.
* Carry out fire alarm installations.
* Fire alarm commissioning, mainly Advanced, Kentec systems.
* Plan and implement routine and demand call visits for your area.
* Provide a good technical understanding of drawings and wiring systems.
* Able to carry out fault finding diagnostics.
* Run small to medium installations and provide guidance for our installation team.
* Able to work from drawings & complete all documentation.
* Demonstrate a full understanding of all related regulations BS7671-2018, BS5839-1;2017, BS5838-6;2019.
* Deliver a first-class customer service to all our customers.
Who We’re Looking For
As well as having all the usual attributes of a great Morgan Fire Protection employee, such as a positive attitude, excellent communication skills, and professionalism, we are looking for candidates who offer:
* Experience working as a Fire Alarm Service Engineer or similar role.
* FIA Units 1-5 or Equivalent.
* 18th Edition.
* Experience in maintaining and servicing fire detection systems.
* Strong technical skills and problem-solving abilities.
* Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
* Good communication and customer service skills.
* Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
* Some experience as an electrician or a knowledge/understanding of electrics is essential.
* Comfortable in a sometimes physically demanding role.
* Flexibility to travel, as this role is national and will require occasional UK travel.
* Full, clean UK driving Licence is essential.
* Able to provide Certificates of competency.
* No call out rotas.
