Our client, a leading provider of products within scientific research, is looking for a Scientific Conference and Marketing Associate to join their growing team. The company contributes towards scientific discovery through the provision of innovative life science technology and products for R&D within the medical, cosmetics, nutrition, and other sectors. They have been established for 35 years and work with scientific manufacturers, universities, and biotech companies.
Job Responsibilities
1. Scientific Content Creation
- Own the scientific content creation process for the company's literature used online and offline.
- Take ownership of the literature catalogue and linked projects.
- Write engaging SEO-friendly scientific content for the website.
- Create blog posts, white papers, and other marketing collateral.
- Work with WordPress CMS and Magento e-commerce platforms.
2. Market Intelligence and Conference Attendance
- Keep abreast of current scientific trends to aid with strategic marketing plans.
- Attend conferences/events to gather market information, investigate new trends, and understand exciting new research.
3. Product Characterisation and Other
- Responsible for product characterisation for new and existing products.
- Assist with keyword planning and research for Google Ads and SEO.
- Assist with digital marketing.
- Conduct data analysis where required.
Job Requirements:
1. A PhD in a life science subject is preferable, or an MSc.
2. Experience in a commercial marketing role, preferably within the Life Science industry.
3. Ability to write on scientific topics in an appropriate and engaging way.
4. Strong Word and Excel skills.
5. A keen work ethic and positive can-do attitude with exceptional attention to detail.
