We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for aTeaching Assistant with British Sign Language (BSL) Level 1 or 2, to join our friendly and supportive team at a leading mainstream secondary school. This role is ideal for someone passionate about inclusive education and interested in furthering their BSL skills through on-the-job training and development. Day-to-day of the role: Support students with hearing impairments by facilitating communication through BSL. Assist in the classroom under the direction of the lead teacher, helping to deliver educational material and engage students in learning activities. Provide one-on-one support to students, ensuring they understand the curriculum and are able to participate fully in class activities. Collaborate with teachers and other educational staff to implement strategies that support student learning and inclusion. Participate in training and development opportunities to advance your skills in BSL and educational support. Help create an inclusive and supportive environment for all students. Required Skills & Qualifications: Proficiency in British Sign Language (BSL) Level 1 or 2. Interest in pursuing further BSL training and certification. Experience in an educational setting is preferred but not essential. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
