Apricus Resourcing are currently working with a specialist mental health facility based in Bamber Bridge, Preston who are on lookout for dedicated, experienced RMN/RNLD's to join their team and work on a full-time basis on days or part-time on nights. Within your role you will be assisting the clinical team in the planning and implementation of quality nursing care including evidence- based practice. You will be supervising staff including Recovery Support Workers, ensuring the full and professional delivery of a rehabilitation and recovery focused service. Other duties will include: To take a responsible role in the induction, mentorship, and continual training of staff and act as a role model at all times. To take responsibility for the unit environment, at times when more senior nursing practitioners are not present, and in doing so uphold and promote the agreed unit philosophy and values at all times. Promote and support service users and carers involvement in the decision-making process. Work as part of a team to ensure appropriate evidence-based risk assessments are undertaken. Ensure that support plans are up to date, evidence based and address the needs of the individual service user. To always work in accordance with relevant legal and ethical requirements e.g., Mental Health Act 1983 (2007), NICE guidelines, Models of Care, Code of Professionals Conduct, DOLS, Safeguarding, Mental Capacity Act 2005 and Health and Safety at Work etc. To participate in a process of change and service development in order to continually improve the quality-of-service delivery. Ensure effective interpersonal skills in relation to service users, colleagues, visitors, and the wider health care workforce. To ensure a multi professional approach to delivery of care is maintained, respecting the knowledge, experience and diversity of colleague’s roles and responsibilities. Maintain and deliver in line with professional guidelines, appropriate, detailed, and timely record keeping. To participate in the process of clinical supervisions both as supervisor and supervisee. Take part in the individual performance review (appraisal) and personal development planning process. Promote the physical and psychological wellbeing of each individual service user as the foundation of care delivery. The manager is looking for experienced candidates to join the team, the service have full time roles available on both days and nights. The role is based within a 14 bed inpatient rehabilitation service that provides accommodation for men who experience a complex range of mental health issues and require long term support and treatment within a controlled environment.
