Intensive Housing Management Worker Colchester Young People&x2019;s Service 6 months 35 hours £17.07 LTD / £14.55 PAYE inc. hol A national charity who provide accommodation services for various support needs are recruiting in Colchester for an Intensive Housing Management Worker, where you will provide essential tenancy and support services to young people, helping them manage their accommodation and navigate housing needs.Intensive Housing Management Worker Colchester Young People&x2019;s Service 6 months 35 hours £17.07 LTD / £14.55 PAYE inc. hol A national charity who provide accommodation services for various support needs are recruiting in Colchester for an Intensive Housing Management Worker, where you will provide essential tenancy and support services to young people, helping them manage their accommodation and navigate housing needs.THE ROLE As an Intensive Housing Management Worker, you will play a key role in supporting tenants in managing their tenancy, accessing benefits, and connecting with support services. Key responsibilities include: Supporting tenants with tenancy management, benefit claims, and referrals to relevant support services. Conducting assessments of tenants, addressing risks, needs, and eligibility for services. Collaborating with the Housing Management Team to issue and explain tenancy obligations during new sign-ups. Coordinating with the Asset Management team on property standards, timely repairs, and safety for occupancy. Ordering furniture and goods for properties as needed. Maximizing rent collection and managing arrears in line with policies. Building and maintaining positive relationships with the local community, landlords, and key internal teams. THE CANDIDATE The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar housing or tenancy management role and will demonstrate the following: Familiarity with housing benefit processes and service referrals. Experience in tenancy and rent management, including arrears resolution. Understanding of tenancy law and housing policies. Excellent communication and community-building skills. Ability to work collaboratively and flexibly across multiple areas when needed. THE CONTRACT 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm. 6 months, with potential for temp-to-perm transition. Pay rate: £17.07 per hour LTD or £14.55 per hour PAYE, inclusive of holiday.
