This opportunity is perfect for an individual with OEM/Blue-Chip experience, who is looking to take ownership and responsibility of an Aero production domain and their own career, be at the forefront of a growing Aero component manufacturer, and leave a legacy on Aerospace in the South West. This role directly progresses into Operations Manager.
Your Role:
The main responsibilities will be:
1. Responsible for managing production, team leaders, delivering products and services in-line with scorecard requirements in order to satisfy internal and external customer expectations.
2. Generate monthly forecast in conjunction with Production Control and then responsible for delivering the Sales Plan each month, for value and OTIF.
3. Ensuring co-operation and clear communication across all levels within the organisation whilst also responsible for developing Production plan maximising shop floor production and efficiencies.
4. Representing the company values of; pride; respect; enthusiasm; integrity; empowerment and responsiveness.
What we are looking for:
Essential:
1. Strong organisational and excellent communication skills - a people person able to motivate and coach teams.
2. Good knowledge of Production/manufacturing machinery, technologies and processes relating to a machining environment.
3. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
4. Ability to solve complex manufacturing problems, using LEAN tools, 6S and cellular techniques.
5. Excellent IT skills (MS Office).
6. Previous operational management experience in an engineering business.
7. Ability to drive the team to achieve the result.
8. Commercially astute, supporting the business in the achievement of its growth and financial targets.
9. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
10. Conversant with ISO9001 and Quality Management Systems.
