Job Title: Data Analyst Location: Leeds Salary: £28,500 per annum Job Type: Full Time / Permanent Role Highlights: As a Data Analyst, you will be responsible for analysing large amounts of data and providing power applications, dashboards and visualisations with associated insights to help the organisation make informed decisions. You will collaborate with various stakeholders across the business to identify business needs and develop solutions that meet those needs. You will also be responsible for ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and consistency. Role Details: This position reports to the Head of Data & Development and is a key role within the data team. The Data & Development team’s work will have a direct impact on the Groups’ success as many decisions will be based on data and insights provided by the team. The Data & Development team should evangelise with stakeholders across the business on the need to make driven decisions. Responsibilities: Working with business stakeholders and servicing the reporting demands. Collecting, measuring, organising, and analysing data related to relevant stakeholder areas Utilising technical expertise to ensure data is accurate and high-quality Innovation and development on analysis and reporting capabilities Helping business stakeholders understand complex data sets. Providing Interpretations of data, analysing results using statistical techniques to provide insights. Identifying trends and patterns using appropriate visualisations and dashboards. Wherever possible drive self service reporting with the ability to drill into data. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop solutions that meet business needs. Developed solutions should be fully documented so that we maintain intellectual property in the business Act in a professional manner regarding confidentiality, security, personal attitude, and presentation. Be prepared to work in a flexible way to assist colleagues in the delivery of services to business stakeholders. Personal Development - maintain and extend personal expertise in specific areas relevant to the requirements of the role. Uphold and implement Group policies and procedures in all work activities. Provide feedback to the Group on all perceived risks, issues, and potential improvements. Additional Duties: Presenting complex data insights to the business as an when required within the role. Maintaining databases / datasets and ensuring they are up-to-date and as accurate as possible. Developing and implementing data collection systems and other strategies that optimise statistical efficiency and data quality. Acquiring data from primary or secondary data sources and maintaining databases/data systems. Identifying, analysing, and interpreting trends or patterns in complex data sets. Essential skills and experience: Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyse, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy. Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining using the Microsoft Power Platform. Strong knowledge of transforming, modelling and, analysing datasets using appropriate tooling (E.g., Excel, T-SQL, Power Query, DAX, Python & R). Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify trends or patterns in complex data sets. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate complex information clearly. Already certified in, or willingness to work towards becoming a certified Microsoft Power Platform Fundamentals (PL-900) and/or other data certifications or relevant extensive experience. Already certified in, or willingness to work towards becoming a certified Microsoft Power Platform Data Analyst Associate (PL-300) and/or other data certifications or relevant extensive experience. Already certified in, or willingness to work towards becoming a certified Microsoft Power Automate RPA Developer (PL-500) and/or other data certifications or relevant extensive experience. Desirable skills and experience: Experience working with large datasets. Experience working with programming languages such as Python or R. Experience working with visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
