E.ON UK operates one of the largest Street Lighting Contracting businesses in the UK. We operate as an ICP and carry out jointing associated with the installation and connection of electrical networks for most of the housing developers in the UK. We have agreements to work on the DNO and IDNO networks in the UK.
Our teams also install large scale commercial EV Charge points across the UK, both customer owned and public charge points. We are looking for enthusiastic and hardworking Commercial Electricians to join our EV team, to carry out inspections and maintenance of existing and new EV charging infrastructure.
The role holder will be conversant with all aspects of commercial electrical installations and competent in inspection and testing. Following appropriate training and authorisation, they will develop their skills to maintain our EV charger installations (AC, DC, UFC & V2G). This is a great development opportunity for a focused electrician.
The ideal candidate will be an apprentice trained electrician with the relevant C&G qualifications and current 18th IEE Reg certificates, along with experience in electrical installation works, testing, and inspection while ensuring all work is completed safely and in accordance with the Company's Health, Safety, Environment and Quality policies and procedures. Company transport will be provided for work purposes, as travel will be expected. While the role is based in Hertfordshire, flexibility for nationwide travel may be needed to cover sites and assist colleagues, with overnight stays avoided where possible but required depending on site locations.
Main Responsibilities
* Ensure personnel under their control fully understand and adhere to their job requirements.
* Test, inspect, and maintain EV Charge points and infrastructure.
* Take full ownership of personal health and safety responsibilities and that of the team, ensuring PPE is worn at all times.
* Work on own initiative or as part of a team.
* Take a confident but diplomatic approach to customers at all times.
* Carry out risk assessments and maintain safe working practices.
What we need from you
* Recognised Electrical Apprenticeship or training programme.
* C&G 236/2360/2365 pt 1 and pt 2 or equivalent with extensive & proven relevant trade experience.
* 2391 test and inspection qualification.
* 18th edition BS7671 wiring regulations qualification.
* A current driving licence.
It would be great if you have
* Previous Full G39 qualification.
* Current NRSWA Accreditation.
* Current First Aid and Manual Handling certificates.
* CSCS accreditation.
