Please note shift for this role is evenings 9pm to 6am.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
1. Moving vehicles on and off the loading bays when directed by the loading teams/ transport office.
2. Directing of vehicles to designated de-kitting bays and for park up in an orderly and organised fashion to keep the yard clear of obstructions at all times.
3. Reporting of any vehicle defects to transport office.
4. Checking fridge units on vehicles for operational lights and tail lifts prior to parking on loading bays for loading.
5. Ensure that fridge temperatures are correctly set and trailers are pre cooled if necessary.
6. De-kitting of vehicles when required.
7. Completing ad-hoc minor repairs to the vehicles and trailers.
8. Adhere to all Company, statutory and Health and Safety obligations.
9. Attend any relevant training sessions to ensure that you are fully equipped to perform your role effectively.
10. To undertake such other duties as may be reasonably required for the effective operation of the Transport Team.
11. Checking fuel levels and downloading data from vehicles on a regular basis
The ideal candidate will have/be:
Essential:
12. HGV Class 2 Licence
13. Valid CPC
14. Must be educated to GCSE standard (or equivalent) - passes in mathematics and English at grade C or above are desired.
15. Good communicator at all levels

18. Ability to follow procedures and work independently
19. Comfortable working to strict timescales in a pressurised environment
20. Must be a team player and able to contribute to the team`s effectiveness
