I'm working with a fantastic SME in Ashby looking for an Assistant Project Manager to join their business at a really exciting time in their journey.
This business offers their clients a full turnkey service from design, planning, fit-out, and furnishing properties in the commercial, leisure, and education sectors. All of their success revolves around a design-led approach.
The culture revolves around customer service and making the project lifecycle enjoyable. Good internal and external relationships are at the core of this thriving business.
Ideally, you will have a long successful career delivering commercial office fit-outs. However, they have had recent success converting someone over from a high street retail/shopfitting background, and they have integrated nicely into the business. Behaviours and character are fundamental to fitting in perfectly.
The Role
You will be required to deliver and manage high-profile projects from concept to completion, typically valued between 100k - 2m.
In this position, you will assume total responsibility for the management and performance (qualitative and financial) of all assigned projects and ensure the company is professionally represented.
Duties will generally include:
* Planning and executing in line with the agreed scope of works and programme.
* Planning and executing in line with the agreed project costing sheet.
* Planning and executing in line with the clients' and company-wide expectations and quality standards.
* Managing project variations at the earliest opportunity, with cost and scope transparency.
* Evaluating the performance of all site operatives and sub-contractors and providing constructive feedback.
* Ensuring client satisfaction with our performance and the completed project.
* Managing Health and Safety to meet and exceed the required standards.
* Keeping up to date with all H&S, Building Regulations, and relevant Construction Legislation and applying them to all projects.
* Managing, coaching, advising, and teaching all site operatives to improve their knowledge and performance.
* Keeping abreast of new products and developing working methods to continually improve the performance and processes of the Company.
