Barnsley Norse is working in partnership with Barnsley Borough Council to deliver a comprehensive range of first-class caretaking and cleaning services across the local areas.
We are looking to recruit a Supervisor on a full-time basis, working 37 hours per week.
Duties
1. Undertaking a wide range of tasks including erection and dismantling of parasols, trestle tables, and lighting as required, litter picking, bin emptying, cleansing of the area, winter maintenance duties, and driving vehicles.
2. Traveling across designated sites and acting as the first point of contact on site for colleagues.
3. Organizing and monitoring staff under your control to ensure attendance, cover for absence through sickness and holidays, and achievement of relevant cleaning standards.
4. Working as a team to ensure colleagues remain motivated.
5. Ensuring customer satisfaction is achieved and targets/deadlines are being met.
6. Being responsible for the general maintenance both internally and externally of the premises, ensuring it is a safe environment for staff, service users, and visitors.
7. Ensuring all equipment is in a safe and working condition and undertaking minor repairs and maintenance to premises and equipment when required in line with Norse Health and Safety requirements/reporting to the manager where appropriate.
8. Driving company vehicles, including operating a tail lift, and traveling between the sites, with travel covered within the hours.
Shifts
1. Barnsley Outdoor Markets - Tues, Weds, Fri, Sat (4.30am-7.30am and 4.30pm-7.30pm)
2. Wombwell Outdoor Markets - Tues, Fri, Sat (7.30am-8.30am and 2.30pm-4.30pm)
3. Goldthorpe Outdoor Markets - Thurs only (6.30am-8.30am and 2.30pm-4.30pm)
