We’re looking for a Dips & Frozen Technologist (Ready to eat products) to join our team in Spalding, UK.
Our NPD Technologist is a quality champion, ensuring Westfalia Fruit consistently exceeds customer expectations. They actively seek to improve product safety, quality, authenticity, and legality. By collaborating closely with Technical Managers and internal teams, they drive proactive supplier development and ensure we meet all customer-specific and internal KPIs.
Responsibilities include:
* Maintaining Westfalia Fruit’s supplier risk assessments.
* Managing a sampling and analysis programme – Microbiology, pesticide, nutritional and organoleptic.
* Manage customer complaints and report monthly KPIs.
* Conduct and follow up on investigations regarding complaints, out of specification product, results and report findings.
* Ensuring that suppliers have up to date certification and due diligence documentation including agricultural systems, GFSI food safety, etc.
* Support and schedule NPD activities including trials, product testing, trial reports and data collection.
* Complete internal audits as per the internal audit schedule.
Requirements
* Higher education qualifications within a Food Science setting
* You will ideally have HACCP or similar food safety qualifications.
* Retailer and industry software systems experience.
* Trained as an Internal auditor.
* Understanding the importance of product testing – pesticide, microbiology, organoleptic and nutritional.
* Experience working with ‘ready-to-eat’ products.
